Mike is a hands-on Maritime professional dedicated to continuously improving training practices. He has a background in equipment operation and training experience across multiple industries. This experience allows him to bring a unique perspective to training and safe practices while operating. After completing military service, he spent time working in the Gulf oil and gas industries, and later, he attended Texas A&M University, where he received a B.S. in maritime administration. Mike joined the CP Tech team in April of 2018 to operate and maintain a pair of crane simulators as part of the Port of Houston’s crane training programs and is committed to teaching the safe way to operate the equipment. Safety and training are essential to Mike because he has first-hand experience of how detrimental poor work practices and improper training can be to people. He is committed to the idea that workers should return home in the same condition they showed up to work in.
